click After diligent preliminary research and preparation for almost half a year, the 1st pumping unit for the Pumping Unit Project of Cavaville Ecuador Subsidiary officially started operation and pumping oil on September 7th, and received high appraisal from the Client.
The well is a directional well of “s” type, with total depth 10709ft, pump setting depth 9600ft and a large amount of associated gas. During the preliminary preparation, the project team conducted extensive survey, consulted experts and discussed with the Client. In this way, a design solution applicable to deep pumping by sucker rod was made, overcoming difficulties including large torque & drag, large pump setting depth, heavy load, and sucker rod eccentric wear. Furthermore, installation and trial run was successfully implemented in strict compliance with the Operation Procedure of Cavaville as well as the Site Operation Standard and HSSE Policy of the Client.
Meanwhile, installation of the 2nd pumping unit is ongoing in an orderly way. The smooth implementation of the Pumping Unit Project indicates that Cavaville successfully won a place in the competitive Ecuador market in a short period of time.
